College Student Personnel

Graduate Assistantships and Other Employment Opportunities

CSP Interview Day: March 8, 2019

Employment, including graduate assistantships, provide students in the College Student Personnel program with the opportunity to integrate theory with practice and receive financial assistance. Through employment, graduate students are able to gain valuable experience working in college student affairs or closely allied areas within higher education.

Opportunities are offered in a variety of departments at the University of Rhode Island (URI). Some non-URI employment opportunities are also available to CSP master's students.

Full-time, 20-hour per week Graduate Assistantship (GA) positions at URI provide a stipend, health insurance, the remission of tuition and a wavier of a portion of graduate student fees. See the Graduate Assistants United (GAU) contract for details of stipend levels and other matters related to employment. Off campus employment opportunities provide a wide range of remuneration.
